Computer Tech Class Refurbishes Computers

Mr Binnion’s five year old computer lab was replaced by new 20” Apple iMac computers this fall. The old computers were showing their age technologically, but most were still going strong so his computer technology class began refurbishing and testing them. At this time about 12 of the 20 computers have been restored. The class should finish refurbishing the rest by late winter.
The new computers are based on Intel’s Core Duo chip technology and are capable of running both the Mac OS and Windows. While most of his classes are running Macintosh software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop, his computer tech class has also taken advantage of the dual power to run Windows on occasion.
