Stained Glass
February 15, 2010
Inspired by the stained glass work of Louis Comfort Tiffany, we set out to create our own versions of stained glass. The biggest question was, "Do we get to use glass?" Well, not exactly, but crayons and paper. That didn't bring on much excitement until I mentioned black glue and baby oil. The black glue dries and imitates the lead used to hold the pieces of glass together and the baby oil makes the paper transparent, allowing the light to come through the paper. The end results are stunning displayed in the windows during cold winter months.
