HHS May Construction Highlights

With about 2 months to complete the project, progress on the new Middle School and High School is moving ahead at full speed.
As you can see by the pictures, some of the main changes since the last update include doors on the classrooms, carpet in the computer labs, fixed furniture in the science labs, and flooring in the gymnasium. As of May 6 the flooring in the smaller (Middle School Gymnasium) was complete and ready for striping and painting and sub flooring was being laid in the High School Gymnasium.
From the outside you will also begin to notice lots of changes as some of the construction clutter begins to disappear. As you will notice in the pictures, the final sidewalks are being poured and finish grading for parking lots is taking place.

| 05/24/2009 | I think that the kids that are going to be there next year will absolutely love it. I can't believe how big it is. It's enormous. Would love to see some Red and White spirit in it though and some mascot paintings upon the walls. It would totally give kids more school spirit. |

| 06/01/2009 | What I think about having a new school is that we will not be as crowded as the last school that we have recently attended.I also think that students will be more settled in the new building.Lastly I think that having our own lockers will be a advantage to students who bring money,cell phones,etc and will have a better higher chance of those items not being stolen.Also in my best regards I vote to keep the last Middle and High school because the school could be used as a storage or any other thing that the school can be used for. PS:The new school is looking wonderful.I also can not wait to be settled into a new year!!. |

| 06/01/2009 | i think we should not build a new school because you're wasting too much money or at least don't tear down the old one turn it into a holtel or somthin or a bunch of diffeent shops just dont tear it down its been here for a very long time and it should stay here for a long time so thats my point. |

| 06/22/2009 | Stop complaining about the colors and be appreciative of the building. The school looks AWESOME... Those of you that keep talking about school spirit, show some by attending a ball game, play, band concert, etc. That shows real spirit. The colors mean very little. |

| 07/09/2009 | Well, here we are. It's almost July and the school is almost ready. The teachers and staff will be moving into the building in a couple of weeks to start setting up for the new school year. It's been a real pleasure to be able to build the new school in the district that my Daughter graduated from and my Grandson is attending now in the 4th grade. I think all of you will love the new facility and all it has to offer. I hope I've given you a building that will offer the best chance at a great future.
