Thursday, March 11 - Turkey Hot Shots with Bread & Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Fruit and Milk

A NOTE FROM THE CAFE

All students who owe a charge of at least $2.50 will not be permitted to charge additional amounts on their account. Please take care of your charges. Do not go through the lunch line and try to charge. A peanut butter bar will be provided until the charges are paid.

The AWARDS CEREMONY  for the High School Winter Sports will be 

Tuesday, March 9th @6:30 PM in the High School Auditeria. There will be no Banquet.

 

The SCOL Banquet will be Monday, March 8th

 

The Middle School Banquet and Awards Ceremony will be Wednesday, March 10th in the High School Auditeria.

Boys Track practice today @ 3:00 PM please meet at the Cassner Building at the Old High School grounds.

Girls Track Mandatory Practice for you will begin on Monday, March 8th. Practice will last from 2:30 until about 4:00. Meet in the auditeria and be prepared to run outside!

A NOTE FROM COACH SPICER

The Weight Room will be open starting Monday (December 7th) and be open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. If you are not involved in a winter sport, you should be there! We should be getting our new equipment any day! Official workouts begin after the winter break. Any questions please see Coach Spicer.

CALAMITY DAYS

As of Wednesday, February 17th Hillsboro City Schools must make up 3days of school. 

The dates will be Wednesday, May 26th, Thursday, May 27th and Friday, May 28th

 

"THE INDIAN SNACK SHACK"

Opens Wednesday, January 27th next to the High School Gymnasium from 

2:25-4:00 PM. We will be selling snacks such as: hot dogs, nachos and cheese,

 fresh fruit, water Gatorade and more. The booth will be open Monday

 through Friday until further notice and all proceeds will benefit the Costa Rica

 study abroad program. We appreciate your support!

SPECIAL SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF OGT's

During the week of OGT testing, all Juniors and Seniors who passed OGT tests will begin school @9:15 AM on the mornings of the days of the test they have passed. Juniors and seniors who ride the bus and report to school at the regular time will report to the auditeria. All Freshman will report to school at the regular time and go to homeroom. 

ACT information

Any Junior interested in attending a four year college needs to take the college assessment test (ACT) There are 2 testing dates left one in April and also June.

A NOTE FROM THE LEO CLUB

Anyone interested in joining the Leo Club, the membership drive is still going on. The meetings are every Wednesday during both lunches in Mr. Snavely's room.   

 

ASTRA CLUB

The ASTRA annual book drive will be held the whole month of March. A box will be placed in the High School Office for the collection of new or gently used books. If you have any questions, please see Mallori Ferguson.

The next meeting is March 15th during both lunches

226 Renaissance envelopes were passed out today. It was brought to Mrs. Musser's attention that the coupon books are expired. She will check into replacing them with new ones. 

 

STUDENT COUNCIL INFORMATION

The Winter Formal Dance for 

Saturday, February 20th in the High School Café.

HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED!!! 

THE ALTERNATE DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR 

March 27th, 2010

FROM 8PM - 11PM

Tickets will be sold starting the week of February 22nd -26th and the cost per ticket will be $5.00 each.

Guest Permission Forms are available now through the High School Office.

 

 All guests attending the dance will be required to submit a copy of their ID (School and/or Driver's License) with the permission form when it's turned in.

JUNIOR CLASS INFO:  

The Junior and Senior PROM is up and coming!

The date is Saturday, April 24th

Grand March will start at 7:00 PM

Prom will be from 9:00 - 12:00 PM

If you are absent from school, make sure to bring in a note from home to get an absence excuse for the day following your absence.
