One Call Now System Has Changed
... student home numbers to be called; families will need to add other phone numbers through a web link

We have made changes in the One Call Now System, effective Friday February 13, 2009.
Earlier in the year, we were sending to the One Call Now system all numbers we had on file as a student or parent home or cell number. For most families this has been a very good thing and has done lots to improve communication from school to home. However, because from time to time, the school is not informed when phone numbers change, the school has ended up with many numbers in our records that no longer belong to individuals associated with the school.
Therefore, in a effort to reduce the number of calls being made to individuals and businesses that do not wish to receive phone calls about school news, we have changed what numbers we are automatically loading into the One Call Now System. As of February 13th, the schools are only loading the student home number that we have on file. This is the only number the system will call with out parent action.
However, parents may still have calls come to other numbers and messages sent to e-mail addresses if they wish. To add these additional numbers to the One Call System Family Profile, a parent must click on the One Call Now link at the bottom of this article, or click on the One Call Now button on the right side of any Hillsboro City Schools web page.
Once you click on the button or link, you will be transferred to the One Call Now web site. At the site, you will be prompted to enter your child's last name, the phone number that the school has listed as the student's main number, and the building the student attends. If the system finds a match, a page opens that allows the parent to enter up to three additional numbers and up to three e-mail addresses into the system. Once these are entered and submitted, the school receives a notification that you have requested numbers added to your family profile. The school will then call and confirm the numbers before approving them for addition to the system. You must repeat the process if you have children with other last names, or if you have children at other buildings.

If you are having difficulty adding numbers using the web link, please call your child's school and someone in the office will assist you with getting the number added.
