School Board Views Construction Progress
December 19, 2008
The Hillsboro City School Board toured the new high school / middle school facility prior to the board meeting on Wednesday, December 17.
The construction project is moving along smoothly and is still on track for the building to be occupied for the 2009-2010 school year. Currently the building is completely enclosed and is heated with temporary heat, allowing construction to proceed unimpeded by any weather conditions.
Recent construction activities include applying final coats of paint to the middle school classrooms and pulling network, data, phone, and fire alarm cabling in the middle school. Cabling in the high school classrooms has now also started. Ceiling grid in classroom areas is also underway.

| 01/27/2009 | I personally think we shouldn't have a new school. I like the old one the way it is. |

| 02/07/2009 | I personally don't like the idea of the cafetorium, but whatever floats Hillsboro's boat. As long as the band room is bigger, I am fine. |
