Hillsboro Intermediate School
Student Council
Hillsboro Intermediate is excited to be starting a student council for the 2009-2010 school year!
The Elementary Student Council exists to:
- Represent the views of the student body
- Enhance the quality of school life
- Assist with whole school events
- Students learn about setting an agenda, brainstorming ideas, problem-solving, voting, setting action items, advertising, and citizenship skills.
- Give its members the opportunity to develop leadership, organizational skills and work as part of a team.
- 4th and 5th grade students elect their own officers.
Hillsboro Intermediate Student Council will play a vital role in the development of our students. One student from each fourth and fifth grade class will be appointed by their teachers to become student representatives each quarter. Hillsboro Intermediate will also hold an election for students running for office positions in Student Council. Student Council will meet on a regular basis to plan school wide activities, as well as charity events.
If you have any questions or would like more information you can contact the Student Council Advisors @ 393-3132.
