Athletic Department Updates

The girls golf state competition was suspended today due to inclement weather and course conditions. Play is expected to resume tomorrow.

Varsity girls soccer will be playing at Chillicothe High School tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 (no student or senior citizen rates.)

YMCA after school program for 8th and 9th graders


YMCA after school program for 8th and 9th graders.  HMS/HHS provides transportation to the YMCA and parents/guardians must pick students up at 5:00 pm.  Programs will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Students must fill out an application with Mrs. Layne. Some of the activities offered are open gym, open swim, piano lessons, art class, Bible study, guitar lessons, and access to the fitness center.

HMS/HHS students participate in the "Have a Heart, Don't be a Bully" activity

October is anti-bullying month.  HMS/HHS students participated in the "Have a Heart, Don't be a Bully" activity last week.  Students watched a video on bullying and wrote why they choose not to bully on hearts displayed in the building.

Mark Mrochek, an Investment Advisor Representative with Voya Financial, spoke to the HHS Financial Literacy classes on Wednesday, April 20. The students have been learning about investments and retirement plans and Mr. Mrochek offered some insight into why it's important to plan for your financial future and provided examples of different investment options that young people can consider.
