HHS Participating in a Coin Delay on Friday, March 23

What is a coin delay you ask? A "Coin Delay" is a fun fundraiser that allows students to bring in any coin of monetary value. The teacher has to individually count every coin!  Teachers are not allowed to use coin counters. The time it takes the teacher to count and total all coins brought in is how long they get to delay that class. Once you have counted and totaled the money, the teacher can then begin class. This is a great fundraiser for the Highland County Society of Adult and Children. Let’s represent HHS!!

The 2018-19 Hillsboro FFA Officer team kicked off their year together on May 30th and 31st. The officers started their first day by playing leadership games. They all had to communicate with each other and trust one another. After that the team got straight to work. They thought about what all they had to accomplish in the few days they were together. Their list started growing more and more, but every member put forth 100% of their dedication and all of their tasks were completed. A few things they started working on were sending out newsletters and planning their summer meeting. At the end of the day they spent even more time together and had their officer pictures taken. The officers spent a lot of their day laughing at each other and enjoying spending time together.
